GRADUATE STUDIES
SPACE SCIENCE

SPACE PLASMA RESEARCH FOCUS
Investigations of the Earth's environment in our solar system utilize Space as a laboratory for plasma physics. EOS provides teams of scientists studying the solar-terrestrial radiation environment with ground, rocket, and satellite instruments and with supporting theory.

Degree programs: M.S./Ph.D. in Physics (space physics/astrophysics specialization).

RESEARCH FOCI

The aurora and Earth's magnetosphere.
Solar atmosphere and solar wind.
Solar flare dynamics.
Active space plasma experiments.
Interstellar gas in the solar system.
